I kept picking up on little things that made me question the privacy side of it. Maybe none of them were huge on their own, but the pattern didn’t really inspire confidence. I just didn’t feel like I could fully trust it

I tried using the app, but I couldn’t figure it out. After poking around for a while and getting nowhere, I just got frustrated and gave up. It really shouldn’t take that much effort to understand how to use an app.

I mostly went with AirVPN because it supports OpenVPN and WireGuard, which was exactly what I needed. Getting it set up took a little head-scratching, because apparently “user-friendly” was not invited to that part of the design meeting. But once I got it running, it’s been solid and the speeds are decent. I’d probably give it 5 stars if the app did a better job explaining the protocol settings instead of making you feel like you’re defusing a bomb.

I don’t know why, but AirVPN was unstable for me. It would randomly disconnect throughout the day, and I kept having to reconnect over and over. It got annoying really fast, especially when I was just trying to use the internet normally.

I mainly got AirVPN because I needed port forwarding, it’s been doing what I needed it to do. The setup took me a little while to figure out at first, but once I had everything configured, it stayed working without any real issues. Speeds have been fine for my use too. Overall, I trust it enough to keep using it, and I’d give it 4 stars...

I tried the desktop app on Windows and it felt dated. It took me longer than it should have to find basic settings, and when switching servers it would sometimes just hang for a bit, which was annoying. Once it actually connected, the speeds were decent, so there’s that. But I also had random disconnects, and the whole interface just doesn’t feel very friendly if you’re not super technical. Maybe it’s fine for people who know what they’re doing, but for me it ended up being more of a hassle than anything. That part really didn’t help.

It does a solid job unblocking stuff most of the time, which is exactly what I needed it for. Every now and then I have to switch servers to get something working, which is a little ridiculous, but it usually only takes a minute. Overall, happy with it.

i tried airvpn mainly for torrenting and it just didn’t work out well for me. The speeds were all over the place, and some torrents that ran fine on my other VPN were barely moving here. I tested a few different servers, but I never really got consistent results. Maybe it’s better for other uses, but for downloading torrents, I just got tired of waiting. Not really worth the hassle for me.
